| Boat Regatta | - 7/26/08 - 2pm - ? |
| For 2008, it is an open theme – use your imagination to impress the judges!! The Pontoon Association has finalized plans for the Regatta on Saturday, July 26 starting at 2:00 PM at the Main Marina. Those boats participating in the Regatta will decorate according to their wishes. All boats, decorated or not will leave the Main Marina at 2:00 pm lead by the Coast Guard and traveling on the right side of the lake past the Main Beach. They will continue on to Beaver Valley, where they will make a u-turn. They will travel again on the right side to Wyerough and turn at the causeway. Boats will continue traveling on the right side of the Lake to the Campers Beach, again making a u-turn back to the Main Marina.
Polish Bill and Deb, who have a Saturday and Sunday radio show on AM1490 will be promoting the Regatta and will be participating in the Regatta, along with "Rosie and the Jammers" a local Polka band who will be participating by playing live throughout the Regatta.

| Friends of Prince Gallitzin State Park Photo Calendar Contest | - 7/28/08 |
| Photo enthusiasts... get those digital cameras ready! From now until 7/28/08, you have the opportunity to take photos inside of Prince Gallitzin State Park of any subject and have the opportunity to have your photo featured in the 2009 Friends of Prince Gallitzin State Park calendar!!! Photos are being accepted at the park office through the end of business on 7/28/08. $5.00 per photo entry. Three photo maximum per person. Photos will be judged by a panel of judges and 12 winners will be chosen to be included in the calendar. All 12 winners will receive a free copy of the calendar upon its completion. Calendars will be available for sale in early October 2008 as part of the group's fundraising efforts to put new playground equipment inside the campgrounds at the park.
